A Prayer For America - In Memory of Charlie Kirk

Created in the immediate aftermath of Charlie kirk's death. "A Paryer for America" is a large scale original oil painting conceived as a work of remembrance. 

Against the sweeping folds of the American flag, Kirk is portraying in a quiet vulnerable moment - hands pressed together in prayer, eyes lifted upward, and tears tracing his face. Rather than depicting the noise of a political stage or public gathering, the painting strips the scene down to something deeply human: grief, faith, reflection, and the fragility of life.

At the original 48 × 60 inches, this is a substantial statement piece. The scale of the American flag surrounds the figure, while the restrained palette, fine facial detail and subtle treatment of the tears draw the viewer toward the emotion at the center of the composition.

Kirk was 31 when he was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. He had become a nationally prominent conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, particularly known for engaging young people through campus events, media and political organizing. 

Painted shortly after his death, this original captures one artist’s response to a moment that prompted Americans of differing political perspectives to confront questions of political violence, free expression, faith, mortality and the human cost of division.
